Abigail Wills

about

Aby grew up in a small town called Ashburton in south west Devon. Perched on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, there was no shortage of wildlife to feed her passion for the natural environment while she was growing up. Aby was a budding animal rights activist as a child and, following in the footsteps of her mother, decided to become vegetarian at the age of five. She even entertained ideas to pursue a career as a lawyer during primary school so that, one day, she could outlaw meat consumption all together! Nonetheless, it was Aby’s creative flair and love for art which was reflected in her choice of GCSE’s. Although she excelled in topics of Art and Design, Photography and Media Studies, by the time she finished college, Aby had set her mind on pursuing a career in science. Having developed a more mature and grounded grasp of the world around her, Aby undertook subjects of Biology, Chemistry, English Language and Maths at A-Level and, in 2011, was awarded Upper Second Class Honours for her Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Conservation. She also passed her Master of Science by Research Degree in Biodiversity Management in August this year (2013).

Currently, Aby has returned to live in that small town in Devon where she grew up. Where will she go next? - Wherever the road takes her!
